Pi Day Celebrations
Students, staff and families celebrated Pi (3.14159...) Day last Thursday, 3/14, at 1:59 pm by sharing artwork, a poem, and laughter regarding their "nerdy" costumes. A school-wide competition for reciting the most digits of Pi was the highlight of the activities. The winner from each class competed for a trophy and the privilege of putting a chocolate cream pie in the face of a fellow student or staff member. This year 4th grader, Lovita Castro, recited a staggering 156 digits, and enjoyed pie-ing 7th grader, Noah Schlange.
