Jr. High Trip to D.C. - Report and Thank You
Recently, KCA’s 7th and 8th grade class went on a six day field trip to Washington D.C,
Gettysburg, Mount Vernon, and New York. We would like to thank everyone who helped us get
to the East Coast. It was a life changing experience and we couldn’t have done it without all the
amazing people who donated time and money towards the trip! In Gettysburg, we got to tour
around the battlefield and learn about the different battles. We learned many things about
America’s history, like the American Revolution, the Civil War, the World Wars, and many
influential figures. Some of the best things about the trip were the monuments we were able to
see and learn about like, the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the
Washington Monument, and many others. While in New York, we saw the Broadway musical
Wicked , which was great because some of us wish to pursue a career in theater. Overall the trip
was a great learning experience and extremely fun. All of us would do it again if we could. We
are so thankful that we had the opportunity to go on this trip, and we are very grateful
